Myanmar, formerly Burma, is a Southeast Asian nation with more than 100 ethnic groups. It borders India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thailand.

Yangon, the country’s largest city, has bustling markets, several parks and lakes and the imposing Shwedagon Golden Pagoda, which contains Buddhist relics and dates back to the 6th century.
