A journey to discover the culture and landscapes, the people and monuments of Indochina.
The details bring life to this trip: the charm of the saffron-colored robes of the monks in Luang Prabang, the lush greens of the cultivated fields in Vietnam, the simple smiles of the local people, the way nature embraces the temples of Angkor Wat. These and many other details you will discover in your day-to-day journey, making it unforgettable.
Surely, you will also not overlook the beauty of Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta. But these words only reveal part of the trip. The main part is still waiting to be experienced by you.
This is a trip guided by local English-speaking guides who will provide us with an authentic experience of the Indochina region.
Flight from Origin city to Hanoi, Vietnam. Layovers and overnight in flight.
Note: the arrival/departure dates may vary, depending on your origin city. If you have any doubts, contact Papa-Léguas for further clarification.
Arrival in Hanoi, processing of Vietnam entry visa and meeting the driver at the airport.
Private transfer to the hotel (check-in from 2PM, possibility of early check-in for a supplement).
Free day to explore the city, return to the hotel for dinner.
Breakfast at the hotel and going to Ba Dinh square, the biggest square in Hanoi where all musical, political and cultural events take place. Then we will visit the Ho Chi Minh complex (Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum is only visited from the outside) and the One-Pillar and Tran Qouc pagodas.
Lunch included in a local restaurant in Hanoi.
In the afternoon we will visit the Temple of Literature and the Ngoc Son temple. We will then continue our visit to Hanoi, now in an electric tuk-tuk to visit the "Old quarter" made up of 36 streets, many of them with names alluding to the main activities and professions practiced there, such as Hang Buom (Sailing Street), Hang Bac (Silver Street), Ma May, etc.
We will also visit Hoan Kiem Lake and its temple, considered the center and soul of the city.
The tour we will take by electric tuk-tuk (about 40m) is smooth and pleasant, allowing you to see a side of Hanoi that is impossible any other way.
Each electric vehicle has a capacity for 7 passengers, which allows the guide to sit with the travelers, allowing for better interaction.
Before heading to the hotel, we will visit a local cafe for refreshments or a local beer (Bia Hoi).
Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, drive to Halong Bay, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 1994 (the trip will take about 2 hours 30 minutes).
