Oman, officially the Sultanate of Oman, is a country located in Western Asia.
It lies on the south-eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula and stretches along the mouth of the Persian Gulf. It has land borders with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen, and sea borders with Iran and Pakistan.
The capital of Oman is Muscat, which lies on the Gulf of Oman.
