Sudan is a country in northeastern Africa bordered by the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west, and Egypt to the north.
It has about 1,886 million km² and the capital is Khartoum.
Between Sudan and Egypt there is an area of more than 2,000 square kilometers that does not belong to anyone and forests occupy only 10% of the country’s territory, the rest of the state is located in the desert.
