About our tours

Before booking one of our trips, please read carefully.

Our tours presented here are mostly active and adventure tours. Therefore, there are risks and dangers that are not typically found in a traditional tour, which can be:

  • Physical exertion for which you may not be prepared;
  • Weather conditions subject to sudden changes;
  • Lack of conventional medical aid due to being in remote regions;
  • Difficulty in evacuating in the event of an accident, etc.

The tours are subject to setbacks, so your itinerary and services while traveling may change without notice due to local circumstances. This includes diseases, political problems, border difficulties or circumstances that are unpredictable and impossible to anticipate. Our staff on site will do their best to ensure the safety of travelers and in this regard no remuneration will be given for services that are not used.

On Papa-Léguas tours, participants do not make superhuman efforts, but they need to be physically and mental fit for the trip they are going to take.

It is consequently fundamental that the traveler has an open, flexible and optimistic state of mind to face the possible setbacks that may occur.

In many parts of the world, you can’t expect to find the comfort and hygiene conditions that you are used to, especially in mountain refuges, cabins or even hotels; the food served will reflect local habits and customs, making it often impossible to eat anything else.

Important

If you are not a versatile and active person and if you are not used to setbacks or if you disagree with anything presented above, it is preferable not to travel with Papa-Léguas.

A great tour does not necessarily have to be measured by its number of days. MICRO are tours that can take a morning or a long weekend. Usually they are in Portugal or across the border. We used to call them activities, but we believe they deserve the recognition they merit. They are trips. They are MICRO, and they are incredible.

EXPLORER trips are designed for a group of intrepid travelers with open minds and youthful spirits!

We’ll stay in simple accommodations that reflect the essence of the region. We’ll often travel using public transportation to foster closer connections with the local populations we’re visiting. The focus is on unique experiences and the stories you’ll carry in your backpack for a lifetime.

If you have friends who don’t mind trading a bit of their usual comfort for a more genuine and authentic experience, then these trips are for them too.

These are tours that balance the comfort that our travelers are used to with memorable experiences in the far ends of the world.

On a journey of cultural discovery in Japan, accompanied by a tour leader from Papa-Léguas, or trekking in Slovenia, accompanied by local guides, CLASSIC tours are those that provide the best of both worlds – a spirit of discovery and adventure and a good bed at the end of the day.

Adventure, experiences, and the highest level of comfort we can provide at the destination. Here, the adventure lasts until sunset. The places and experiences the trip offers will set the standard for an excellent journey, ensuring no shortage of stories, photos, and videos to share with family and friends.
