Austria

Austria, officially the Republic of Austria, is a country of about 83 872 square kilometers and 8.9 million inhabitants, located in Central Europe.

It is bordered by Germany and the Czech Republic to the north, Slovakia and Hungary to the east, Slovenia and Italy to the south, and Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west.

Austria’s terrain is very mountainous, due to the presence of the Alps; only 32% of the country is below 500 meters in altitude and its highest point reaches 3 797 meters.

It is known as the capital of music, although it is also home to what is identified as the oldest restaurant in the world.
