Oceania

Oceania is a geographic region composed of several groups of islands in the Pacific Ocean, such as Australasia, Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia.

The term Oceania is used today in various languages to designate a geographic and political region that includes the continent of Australia and adjacent Pacific Ocean islands.

Oceania is located between the Indian and Pacific Oceans and is made up of thousands of islands of various sizes, from small coral atolls to Australia. It is bordered to the north by the Torres Strait and the Timor and Arafura Seas, to the east by the Coral Sea and Tasman Sea, to the south by the Bass Strait and the Indian Ocean, and to the west again by the Indian Ocean.
