Romania

Romania is a southeastern European country with 20.1 million inhabitants, it is the seventh most populous member of the European Union (EU).

Known, among other things, for the region of Transylvania, surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains. Among its best preserved medieval towns is Sighişoara. It also has many castles and fortified churches, most notably Bran Castle, atop a cliff, which has long been associated with the legend of Count Dracula.

Bucharest, the capital of the country, is the sixth largest city in the EU. It houses the gigantic seat of government, the communist-era Palatul Parlamentului, which is the second largest administrative building in the world, second only to the Pentagon building in the United States.
