I was born in Lisbon in 1984. I’m an economist by training (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees), I did Erasmus in Slovenia and a year’s European Voluntary Service in Serbia.

After multiple interrails and trips here within the old continent, it was in 2008 that I had the opportunity to venture into more distant landscapes, on expeditions in Alaska or India. I’ve lived in several countries around the world, in eco-villages, sailing boats and camper vans.

Over the last 15 years I’ve been divided between scientific research (I’ll finish my PhD in 2022), social entrepreneurship, training and, more recently, as a mountain and climbing guide. I trained as a Mountain Guide in Scotland in 2019 and since then I’ve tried to spend more and more time surrounded by these landscapes and stone giants. My great passion is climbing, with a preference and focus on the great, classic vertical lines of the Pyrenees or the Alps.
